Hi here,

Does anyone know whether a Canadian wx-1 business visitor visa (10year, multiple entries) can be used just for a holiday trip? I hold this visa from a previous business visit.

I tried to find this (https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=456&top=16) but not sure whether wx-1 counts for "temporary resident visa"

If the answer is yes, then, should I bring any specific document in addition to the passport and visa?

No it can’t be used for anything but business.

Hmmmmm. For "both business AND tourism", meaning you can go on a holiday while you are still legally on a temporary stay in Canada after being sent by your employer overseas. Should be supported by your employer overseas maybe?

Might be a different topic but poses equal importance. Years back, my spouse on a closed wp went home to attend father's funeral, and upon going back to Canada, CBSA called employer to ascertain that my spouse was still employed, before being allowed re-entry.

Maybe try calling CIC first.

Hi Chelsea,

Thanks for your reply! So I guess your wife has a w1 visa? My visa is multiple-entry business visitor so I just plan to re-enter Canada for a trip
