I went for my upfront medical exam and they gave me an " e-medical Tracking Sheet " .

there were four exams namely: 501 Medical Examination , 502 Chest X ray / Radiology Examination , 707 HIV Test and 712 Syphilis Test.

there is this last box on this sheet headed "Grading" and under it are mentioned 501 Medical Exam and 502 Radiology Exam. In front of both these exams are written grades as follows:

501 Medical Exam | A | B |
502 Radiology Exam | A | B |

" | " - these are just indicative of the grid.

Can someone tell me what these grades mean?? If anyone of you have had an upfront medical exam, please share your grades? I'm really worried. ???

Rating of 'A' is given where there are no findings of clinical significance.

A rating of 'B' is given in cases where a significant medical matter arises, when abnormal findings are present, or if the physician has reservations about an applicant's fitness.

For Ex:
On Chest XRAY(Currently, this might change or be updated by CHC anytime):

A-Grade: Anatomical variations and benign changes as per list below:

Atherosclerosis (aortic calcification)
Breast implants
Rib abnormalities (e.g. cervical ribs, previous rib fractures, bifid ribs, congenital rib fusion)
Scoliosis
Nipple shadows
Dextrocardia
Azygous fissure/lobe (or other accessory fissures)
Pectus excavatum

B-Grade: All pathological, infectious, or post-infectious changes.

A 'B' grade wont necessarily mean that Visa would be declined, it's just that the physician is asked to grade on this basis. The final decision is taken by CHC.

but both the grades A and B are written in front of both the exams, namely X-ray exam and physical exam.... dont really know what that indicates.?/

Stop worrying,mate.

Don't predict things on your own.
Better let your DMP handle on this.

You just relax and DMP won't give you the results of the medical straight away if that is you're worried about. Those are confidential results, goes straight to the CHC and if there is any further clearance in your medical, they'll call you up and will give you the instructions.

The tracking sheet they gave you is not your grades, they just wrote between these two which one can you get, if you're perfectly healthy you will get Grade A . If they need any kind of clearance they'll give you grade B. Grade B doesn't mean, you're ill or you have some kind of infection, sometimes in our body there are things which don't seem to be normal in our x-ray or physical examination (everybody got these things) but they're normal or it doesn't mean you won't get the visa. I'm from a medical field so if you want to know anything ask me . Grade B will just delay, deferred your case but on medicals they never reject your visa. CHC will ask you for the further medical until they're totally satisfied. There are lots of members on this forum who got Grade B and after the CHC sorted out everything they'll give you the visa.

Don't you worry,mate.

Good luck :)
