Doubt About CEC and FSW Experience, HELP!

Hi Folks,

First of all thanks for being such a supportive community.

Background Information:

For your information, my file is in the pool right now. I completed my eligibility (one year) for CEC while working full-time for a Canadian company inside Canada, and then I moved to India for a medical emergency. I'm also eligible in FSW and CEC both at the moment.

I just completed two years of experience in the same company, and my CRS points were boosted by +25 while I was living in India.

I'm working remotely with a Canadian company, and my salary is being deposited into a Canadian bank account, which is allowed by my company due to my circumstances.

Since my overall CRS score just bumped up, I expect to receive an IRCC ITA.

Edit 1:
My previous vs current CRS breakdown is:

Previous (As of September 2024): https://imgur.com/E84BElo

Current (This month - October 2024): https://imgur.com/FkbWUrv

My Question:

Where will my experience for the latter year be counted towards? Is it going to be in FSW or CEC? If I receive an ITA under CEC, will the IRCC ask me about the latter experience that I gained while living in India and why I got that experience outside of Canada?

Edit 1:
After providing the screenshots in "Edit 1" under "Background Information", for "Previous (As of September 2024)" it says "Canadian work experience = 40" and "B) Canadian and foreign work experience = 13" whereas in "Edit 1" under "Background Information" for "Current (This month - October 2024)" it says "Canadian work experience = 53" and "B) Canadian and foreign work experience = 25".

By closely reading this, it looks like for the second year of experience in my CEC express entry profile's CRS score, it actually got bumped up for both "Canadian work experience (from 40 to 53 which is +13 points)" and "B) Canadian and foreign work experience (from 13 to 25 which is +12 points)". So, how exactly are these points are being populated in "B) Canadian and foreign work experience".

Plus, currently, I have 2 years of foreign experience added in my CEC profile. So, if this second year of experience will be counted towards the FSW and my Canadian experience, does that mean I have to update my express entry CEC profile to have 3 years of foreign experience instead of 2? If yes, what should I exactly add when providing details of the experience?

I appreciate the help, much Thanks!

The work experience gained outside of Canada counts as foreign work experience. You need to split out this work experience into two entries. One for the period where you worked in Canada and a separate one for the time you worked outside of Canada. Don't try to claim it all as Canadian work experience or you will have issues once they start processing your application.

Also, you asked this same question months ago and it was answered. https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/work-experience-gained-remotely-for-pr-cec-and-fswp.831158/

Apologies, but I wanted to create a new thread to provide more information and the answers in the other thread were not promising enough as you and others only mentioned that it will be counted towards FSW but no one actually explained how to adjust/edit the express entry profile for the same. And also, I updated the original post to provide more information. If you can please help with the updated information, that would be really appreciated. Thanks.
