What province are you in?

Make sure that it's your employer who calls and make sure he/she know what you actually put in the ad and the security questions. They will ask those and once that has been confirmed they will post in about 1 hour.

AB . Boss called and the lady said 5 business days :( . Well that will be way too late . We wont have time to submit and apply for WP in time :(

You are very short on time and may not end up having implied status.

After the job has been advertised for a month, your employer then has to submit the LMO application for processing. This processing can take anywhere from 6-20 weeks. Once the LMO application has been processed and approved - you can then submit the work permit application. You won't have implied status while the LMO is being processed. You only have implied status if the work permit application is submitted before your current work permit expires.

Uhhh why bother advertising the position? Sounds like this guy is just going to get it anyhow.

Because there is zero chance the LMO will be approved without advertising. And without an approved LMO, no chance the work permit is going to be approved.

Oh I see, so run the advert then toss all the applications in the garbage as the employer and this LMO already have agreed to work together?

I will have to submit my work permit application before my current one expires ( it is on sunday ) , can I send overnight saturday delivery mail to Vegreville ? Will they accept in on weekend ? I was told they just have to receive my application before this one expires so I can be in implied status , granted my boss applies for LMO for me and does not hire anyone

Your work permit application must be received by CIC before the end of the business day tomorrow (Friday) if you want implied status. CIC is closed on the weekend and there will be no one there to accept your package. If you send the application on Saturday it won't be delivered until Monday.

I was told that cic officers look at the stamp to know when the application was sent . Thats how I was told that I just need to send it be for this one expires . I am confused now .

Yes, thats how the system works. They even fire Canadians and hire TFW for cheaper. Its a big scam meant to benefit business and harm everyone else (canadians and foreignrs alike).

It's ok there is enough information to report the abuse from this company to the government. If a Canadian applicant applies they MUST be hired, Vegreville not that big so fairly easy to find that info.
