Hi guys , I have decided I will do another LMO and will do so with help from my boss . I would like to know if any of you could help with anything , I am currently in Calgary , my occupation is Machine operator ( please dont confuse it with machinist ) , I was told it needs to be advertised on Jobbank and two other places locally? . I am currently working on a LMO based closed WP which expires in beginning of June . So I will be in implied stats . Where can I find median wages for occupations ? And what is next after we advertise for 4 weeks ? Thanks kindly

You are very short on time and may not end up having implied status.

After the job has been advertised for a month, your employer then has to submit the LMO application for processing. This processing can take anywhere from 6-20 weeks. Once the LMO application has been processed and approved - you can then submit the work permit application. You won't have implied status while the LMO is being processed. You only have implied status if the work permit application is submitted before your current work permit expires.

Not sure which category you fall under but I found that this link has everything when I was trying to find out about how to apply for LMO.

I was told I can have implied status if I send in my working permit application while LMO is being processed and during my current working permit , im pretty sure its common practice . My friends have done it with working holiday too

You can. However you still face the risk that the work permit will be denied before the LMO is approved. If that happens, then you will have to stop working immediately (because you will no longer be on implied status) and will have to apply to restore your status and change your status to visitor. Once the LMO is approved, you will then be able to re-apply for the work permit.

I posted ad in 3 different places , including jobbank . however they are all the same , meaning i used copy paste , and i had expected start date july 1st . i hope it works

I was wondering if jobbank ad is mandatory becuase I realized that the ad hasnt been posted and now we are having trouble logging in our company account ?

It's mandatory to post to either the Federal Job Bank or the province/territory equivalent. Otherwise you can expect a refusal.

Where has the job been posted so far?

I don't know if they have one.

To be safe, it would be best to post to the Canadian Job Bank.

Can I send in my wp application while my job is being advertised or I need to send my wp application after I send application for LMO to have implied status? Can I send both wp application and application for visitor in case my wp is refused?

Hi, in my opinion, send you work permit application paper base so as to buy you more time. Send it say close to your expiry date. I think paper based work permit application is now 50 days. So once you get the approved LMO, you can send it to them...

Hope this helps...

I understand that but does rhat mean I can send my wp while we still advertise the job online ? Or I can send only after I send in our lmo application? Thanks

You cannot apply for the work permit before you've applied for the LMO.
