Hey Guyz please I need your help on this..I have a friend who has a permanent ban last year to the US due to misrepresentation on his US student visa application..Will this deny him PR through express entry even if he gets ITA meeting all the requirements and scores?

You’d need to discuss that with a lawyer as it’s inevitably complex.

The US and Canada do share information though so I’d have thought it would be very difficult. A permanent ban would be a huge red flag

Yes - he can get PR through Express Entry provided he is 100% honest in his application about his US immigration history.

Note that even after he is a Canadian PR, he will still be permanently banned from the US and should never try to re-enter. The same applies if he eventually obtains Canadian citizenship, he will still be permanently banned from the US.

It's actually pretty straight forward provided the application is 100% honest about their immigration history. No lawyer is required.

Yea I already discussed it with a lawyer and he said he’s not inadmissible provided he’s not criminally convicted and provided he’s opened about his ban..Just want to know if someone with same profile has gone through Express entry and allowed entry into Canada
