Does upfront medical exam make process faster?

I'm August 2014 applicant. I'll take medical exam next week.

is it ok to take before request?

and does it make process faster?

No it does not speed up the process. And if it does, it's just a week or two. Not more.

I personally advise you to wait for the request. But people do upfront medicals all the time and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it.

It's OK to go for MR before CIC request , if you want to take risk for $ 250 -300.
It will not make process fast .

I will suggest to wait for MR request . OR order GCMS and first confirm about VO view on your eligibility and decide accordingly
