I have a job offer from RBC as a Sales and Service Rep at the Advice Centre and my job duties are as follows:

-This role typically receives 70-80 calls per day/shift while being seated for the full shift facing a computer.
-Recommends products and services and/or shares information with clients to meet their immediate financial needs and provides superior, responsive execution and delivery of tailored client transactions.
-Resolves problems at first point of contact in a friendly and helpful manner and refers more complex situations to RBC partners, as appropriate.
-Adheres to compliance routines in carrying out transactions.
-To achieve higher levels of proficiency and rewards in this role, effectiveness in selling RBC products, services and solutions to clients will be required.

The NOC 6235 Job description from CIC website is as follows:

Based on this info, would a Sales and Service Rep at RBC counts towards my PR under NOC CODE 6235?

Thank you

Thank you
my personal opinion is that your job would fall under NOC 6235 as based on your job offer letter it feels like a sales-oriented job. If not 6235, then maybe 6552? You know best - do you open bank accounts? do you do/sell mortgages, loans, lines of credit? do you do/sell investments (Reg/Non-Reg GICs, mutual funds, etc.)? do you do/sell creditor insurance?
I am 6235 (my title is Financial Services Representative), but I work at a branch and I know for a fact that the duties/responsibilities of an FSR in my company are slightly different depending on your location (branch vs. call-centre).

Is it possible for you to check with your HR and see if they agree that your job falls under 6235? You could also send an email to NC-NOC-CNP-GD@hrsdc-rhdcc.gc.ca and list your duties and responsibilities along with your title to get their opinion.

Keep in mind that at the end of the day it is up to you to determine which NOC your job falls under and then prove the same.

If you are in fact 6235 then, yes, you could use this experience towards your PR via CEC. I am 6235 as well, but I work at a branch.

good luck!

I am under the exactly same situation. I am a universal banker in Scotiabank that only handle day to day acct+ credit card sale. Same as PO I do not responsible for investment product and loan sale. Confusing if I should apply under 6235
