Does the VO return all your (valuable) paperwork once COPR is issued?

I'm curious, which country requires you to send original of marriage certificate? I thought this was always a photocopy only.

Also I don't think you get police certificates back, since they were basically only for PR purposes anyways. CIC would expect you to order new police certs for any other reason you would need them.

My spouse is in Pakistan and I sponsored him. We had to send our original marriage certificate and his original degrees because it was asked for in our region-specific forms. I am constantly worried and crossing my fingers that everything will be returned to us once the process is over.
