Does the progress bar mean anything?

Hi all,

28th February '19 is supposed to be the estimated date of completion of my PR application process.
And now, it says that my application is taking longer than usual to process. I have waited for 6 long months to wake up to this.

Are there any ways to address this time lag?
Please advise.

What stream are you a candidate under? The estimates are average processing time for applications, some might take less or more time to be processed depending on how complete the application was and other factors like travel history, etc ,etc.
Give it a little more time or you can always contact CIC through a webform to ask for an update. Good luck!

Many thanks for your wishes. I'm under FSW. I received my ITA on 25 June '18 and AOR on 30 Aug '18. It's over six months and the update is as below. I'm going to submit a query today.

1. Review of eligibility - We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
2. Review of medical results - You passed the medical exam.
3. Review of additional documents - We do not need additional documents.
4. Interview - You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
5. Biometrics - We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
6. Background check - We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
7. Final decision - Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.
