No, ECAS does not update when received. After it had been 3 weeks, I phoned the call centre and was able to confirm receipt.

Same. I waited about the full 30 days and they confirmed was all good and I think it took just over two weeks based on the date I was given.

I think it would be an excellent way of reducing the phone load IRCC gets to provide some more updates online. But in the meantime, give them a call

Agree. They do medical recieved for PR why not fingerprints, especially when so many of us get the request. Agent I talked to was super nice and helpful, gave more info than I was calling for.

I’ve spoken to three IRCC agents and all were amazingly friendly. I can’t imagine it’s a terribly rewarding job either, they likely go from call to call to call and I don’t imagine everyone calling is happy so I do tip my hat off to them in that respect! Truly Canadian!
