Hi All,

My spouse - the main applicant - has been invited to apply for permanent residency under the CEC. Do I need to get work references from all my past employers. If yes, how many years?

Thanks

How many did you list on the EOI profile?

If you listed it, you will be asked for a letter.

A spouse only receives points for Canadian work experience. Maximum points at 5 years.

Thanks for replying jes_ON.

I listed all my work experiences to date. So that means I need letter for each, right?

We didn't claim point for my work experience (as a Teaching Assistant) in Canada as it's not eligible under CEC

Hi,

I have a question regarding my spouse's Canadian work experience. She worked for more than a year as cook in Pizza Hut but never got any offer letter or experience letter.

She does have T4, NOA and pay stubs. Her manager can provide notarized reference letter but not in company letter head because its not available for them. Her manager doesn't have any visiting card but the complete contact details will be there in the letter.

To claim CRS points of 1 year spouse's Canadian work experience, will these documents be sufficient?

Thanks,
RG

Possibly, yes. Very important that duties are clearly spelled out by the manager.
