Does sin number change if I get a new work permit?

I was on PGWP up until December 2016 and then I had to apply for a new WP. I got a 2 year closed WP approved in March 2017. But I am not sure if I have the same SIN or should I go to Service Canada to get a new one. I was out of status from December till March.

Your SIN will not change till you become a PR holder. You will have to go to Service Canada and extend your current SIN.

SIN Number only changes when you are PR. Whatever you have on Study Permit remain same and extends the expiry date.
