No you're not - you only get treated as a resident for tax purposes if you reside in the country and on the strength of your residency (i.e. lease, job, community)

I landed in October 2020 and became a TFW and was always a resident for tax purposes regardless of immigration status because I was living/earning/intergrating with the community here.
