Hello,

We wanted to know if both primary and secondary needs to have the transcript certificate from our respective universities for Canada PR purpose. My consultant told that the transcript certificate and employment experience certificate is required only for the primary applicants, it is not required to have any transcript and experience letter for the secondary applicant.
Could you please advice if the above is true, or we should actually need transcript and experience letter for both primary and secondary applicant?

If you are claiming points for the secondary applicant's education or work experience, you need to provide documentation to support it.

If you are not claiming points, move it to Personal History section rather than work history, or attach an LOE where you have to upload a file.

Hi Tmys,

Thank you for the reply. When I contacted the consultancy they took all my detail and found that I received 71 points

Let me list out what they considered.

Factor Attributes Particulars Maximum Points Your Score *

1 Education *** Master’s - Points claimed are subjected to WES report. 25 23
2 Language Skills ** IELTS ( General Training ) 28 16 ( They assumed my IELTS as 6)
3 Work Experience 6+ years of relevant work experience into 2281 NOC 15 15
4 Age 12 12
Arranged 5 Employment N/A 10 00
6 Adaptability Spouse Adaptability IELTS General Training (L-4.5,R- 4.0,W-4.0,S-4.0) is Mandate. 10 05
Total Score 100 71

So, they mentioned if my wife gets even 4.5/5 to IELTS that would be enough. They did not consider her education to count the points, so do you suggest us to get Transcript for her also?

This is FSW points criteria. You qualify, great. Need more than 69 points.

I was talking about Express Entry score, which is separate from FSW Criteria. You need to calculate your score from the calculator for express entry as well. This will be the deciding factor whether you will get selected or not.

In that, your spouse's education can contribute points. In that case you will need her degree evaluated by WES. If no points are claimed, you don't need to show proof of education.

Work experience, you won't need to prove for your spouse for sure because only Canadian experience for spouse counts for points.

If your consultant did not tell you this, I would be skeptical about using them!
