I am IT professional. I have more than 1 years of experience in IT. my salary is less than low wages defined in hrdc website. I do have T4 and reference letter from my employer.

Does salary matter for cec application?? is there chances of rejection because my salary is less???

It's okay as long as is it higher than minimum wage.

Salary mentioned at HRDC website does not matter for CEC, its only for labor market opinion. However, you should make at least the minimum wage set by your province . My salary ($12/hr) was far away from the average salary mention in HRDC website for my NOC.

Thanks For your reply

I mean in HRDC low rate of my position is $18 and my wages are less than that
would it be problem while doing CEC application???

Hi Lucky_CA,

Are you telling me that you were hired as 4011 University professors and lecturers
with a wage of 12 bucks an hour?
Hi byrwus
No, I was employed as a visiting scholar (NOC 4011) and did research work only and got paid $12/hour. Got my PR and hope to land in a few months.

You will be ok, if your income match your LMO (if you need/have one) and time experience

I would not say you should panic, but, better do a self assessment. There are multiple ways they might assess it. You never know. As one example, if one got into a job when the minimum wage was 10 dollars which later got revised to 11 dollars. Companies don't give an immediate hike to match it, they take their own sweet time say till the annual appraisal cycle. This happens with many people i believe. If you fall under such case, then you should be safe provided you are a full time employee, having valid supporting documents as per the checklist.
