Does resquest for passport mean visa issue?

I have been requested to submit my passport to the new delhi office. Does this confirm issuance of visa or it is just a basic background check and later on they may request again for visa?. Kindly thrown in ur views.

Can u plz share your timelines. When did u submit your applicationfor PR?
 
Dunno the exact dates .. since me and my wif e applied for it together and she has been following it closely more than me

by this forum standard ,

sent app in jan 21

recieved confirmation on feb 1st week

recieved Aor in march 3rd week or so

Got medical request last week

Done with medicals and passport request came along with medcals.. doctor has submitted my medical reports.. am sending police clearance and passport tomorrow to new delhi office.

Mate it means visa stamped but after they do security check when you submit your pcc...

Thanks spartan . I am submitting my security check police clearance also with the passport tomorrow.. i jus finished my police clearance in chennai and it took 5 hrs for them to give me a certificate .. i am pretty much done from my side.. my fingers are crossed.. and best of luck to u too!!!!
