Does request for passport means approval

Hello all, I have a silly question. I applied for temporary resident visa to visit my sister and help her with her new baby as she’s living alone in Dec 2020. I applied online and did my biometrics about a week after. I just received a letter to submit my passport today. Does that mean they’ve approved my application or do they stamp passport with rejection?
