Does remote work experience in a foreign country while living in Canada count as foreign experience?

I have worked part time for a company in Africa from 2021 - present with a minium of 15 hours per week. I was also in school in Canada from 2021 - 2022.
I recently got an ITA for CEC stream. During my express entry application, i added this foreign work experience to my work history and it gave me points. Will IRCC count this as a foreign work experience or will they refuse my application?

No i don’t apply. My lawyer said it doesn’t qualify as foreign work experience because I lived in Canada while working for a foreign company
