Does OINP application freeze my IELTS?

Hello,

I got NOI on 13th. Our (My and my wife's) IELTS will expire on 13th of July. Now, if we go and apply for Ontario on May, will our IELTS expiration freeze, or will we have to take IELTS again before the IRCC applcation?

You need to retake, IELTS will not freeze until you have submitted application with IRCC

You also need to retake it for the OINP application. I was in a similar situation, my IELTS expired after I applied for nomination, and they sent me a message saying they require new IELTS results and my new EE profile number from me before they can process my application. So I sent my new IELTS results and got nominated soon after.
Timeline was like this (note, that was paper based):
OINP PT Notification: 08/02/2016
OINP App Received: 11/02/2016
OINP Request for New IELTS: 14/01/2017
New EE Profile created (with new IELTS results): 08/02/2017
OINP Nomination: 16/03/2017

That is some grand 1 year waiting... Must be really awful wait that long
