Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
By the time my fiance and I marry, we will have known each other 2 years and have been living together for a year and a half. However, we want to submit the application a month after being married. Will this cause any problems or seem too soon?

I mean it isn't like we just met for only one day, got married, and submitted it the very next day but still just curious.
Thanks! :)

Hi, You can submit the application after you register your marriage and obtained the marriage certificate.

It doesn't matter how soon after marriage you submit your sponsorship application as long you provide documents to support your relationship.

I will be submitting our application less than 2 weeks after our wedding. Why would I wait? I've known him for 2 years, been engaged for 1 year and can't wait to have my husband living with me in Canada! We probably have an 18-20 month processing time, and I'm not delaying it for even a week.

How come your processing time will be 18-20 months?
