DOES IT HAVE TO JUST BE COMPLETED OR ASSESSED TOO???

So, I reread the letter out visa office sent my wife and I, from what this letter says wife just has to complete the medical exam and show proof. There is nothing about it getting assessed. So am I right to assume that we just need to complete it. I sent an email to our visa office just waiting to hear back.

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order to continue processing the application, we require the following:

Complete or provide proof of completion of the Immigration medical examination. You are required to disclose your pregnancy to Panel Physician, who then shall confirm the EDD in his assessment.

Prepaid courier coupon to facilitate the return of your documents.

Valid passport or travel document

Should we not receive the above documents or information within 90 days of the date of this letter we will assume that you are no longer interested in admission to Canada and will proceed accordingly with the refusal of your application.

Please note that we do not acknowledge the receipt of correspondence. You should ensure that your response to this letter is sent by secure means given the sometimes unreliable nature of postal facilities in the region. We will resume the processing of your application on receipt of the required documents or information. You will then be notified once all requirements have been met. Sincerely

My understanding is that the medicals get sent from the panel physician to be assessed. Then the results are entered into the system. You can make a copy of the receipt to keep in your own records and send the original with the other documents requested to your VO.

I got this from London when I inquired about my wife's medicals

Dear applicant,

Please contact your visa office (Nairobi) . Your wife's medical has been input into the sytem since the 3rd of April. Please inform them that it is an upfront medical under UF000568105 .

If your wife re-did the medical (got the receipt from the doctor) then you have completed the part that you are supposed to do. That doctor will have sent the information off to the London office and the results will then be entered into the system. Which the e-mail from London confirms. At this point just get all the documents they asked from you sent in. When you send them in also include a copy of the e-mail from the London office. So they will see written confirmation and the number quoted for the file.

Okay thanks for the reply, Nairobi visa Office asked just for a completed medical, passport with return courier. That's it, they told me that if we did the medicals early enough they will give my wife her passport with visa and the confirmation letter. My wife is pregant so they said they said they would speed things up, if everything was completed quickly. They told me this on march 18 2013

I hope they don't start anything new

I suggest sending them everything right away then. The extra things included it wont hurt, and that will also give you peace of mind.
