Does IRCC update the Canadian work experience points?

Does the IRCC add in canadian work experience points if they think one is eligible for it?
I remember answering 'NO' to having canadian experience since I do not have 12 months of experience in Canada yet. However I do have work exp from USA and India.
Just want to check if IRCC does this update on their end or iif I made a mistake?

I got an invitation to apply but not sure what to do because of the doubt I have.

When do you hit the 12 month mark? It updates the month you hit the one year mark and not the exact date. I’m also confused because I’m 2 months shy of hitting the mark but I’ve been updated as if I have 2 years experience.
