Does IRCC need original paper version of PCC?

Hi guys,

I got a somehow awkward situation on PCC. I already submitted the e-APR and got AOR on Jan 5th, 2017. In my application I included the scanned version of my FBI PCC. What happens was my friend in the US received my FBI PCC and helped me scan it. However, the original paper version of PCC was lost in the mail delivering process. So now I only have the scanned file but not the original file.

Can anyone who has gone thru the entire Express Entry PR process tell me: will there be a moment after AOR that IRCC would need the original paper version of PCC? If so I'd have to re-apply to FBI for another PCC.

Thanks very much!

Thanks so much Stanlee! Previously I was guessing when applying for a visa maybe the PCC will be required? So you are saying they don't need the original PCC in paper?

Police certificates need to be a scan of the original police certificate(s) in color. Certified true copies and unauthorized copies are unacceptable and will result in the application being rejected as incomplete.

No they never asked for the original so you're safe. Unless you are requested for an interview.

Thanks Julientran for clarification. Then I guess the only issue is to see how likely I'm required for an interview. Do you happen to know under what bases they choose people to interview? I think if the likelihood is high then I still need to apply for another PCC...

Thanks for the kind reply. Yes I did realize they need a scan of the original file in color. However I believe the FBI PCC is black and white by itself, no?
