Not necessary. CIC will send a request if it is required.

NO, you do not need a PCC from Canada. CIC performs its own checks in Canada, no PCC is required.

If you want to wait later when you ask you, which may waste time to apply and get frustrated, I strongly recommended you apply one for Canada too, It took me only two weeks to get one, not that hard. it says on CIC is 'If you want to immigrate to Canada, you and your family members must include a police certificate when you apply. If you are a student or temporary foreign worker, a visa office may also ask you for a certificate.'

Not necessary. Canada PCC is not a requirement. If they need one, they will request your RCMP fingerprints.

Ya, so worst case scenario you only 'lose' two weeks. The original question was, whether a PCC from Canada is
required or not, so the answer is NO, as it is not a requirement. But an optional document as many else
at the time of submission.

send your complete file. Don't make if statement for $70 of RCMP certificate and try to get it now. It's optional, but indeed, it's not especially at the beginning of your process for security check.
