Do you know whether the high blood pressure would affect the PR application?

Thanks!

As long as it is not really extremely high, I do not think it is a problem. In my case, my doctor just asked me if my BP was ok, I said yeah and he did not even check. If it was crucial for CIC, he would have definitely cared more.

Thanks, Veri

My friend told me as long as it is less than 140, may not be a big problem.

As long as it is under control or you are taking medication for it, it should not be a problem. It also helps if there are no other health issues like obesity, diabetes, etc.

Hi All,

This is a old topic, I am reviving it as I have few questions regarding this. Appreciate if anyone can answer.

What are the acceptable levels of BP. Sometimes the BP will be high but that doesn't mean that we have high blood pleasure.
Appreciate if anyone having high BP wo got through immigration process answer this.

Thanks in advance.

1. IF the panel physician determines that you have HBP, then you would be referred for a creatinine test to determine if you have any kidney damage. No kidney damage, then the HPB won't effect your medical results.

Hi,

That is true. Sometimes people's blood pressure is borderline and it takes consistent measurements at the same time of day over a period of time to diagnose someone.
Other times blood pressure is high due to "white coat syndrome" i.e. just nervous being at the hospital/Doctor's office. This was the case with me and though my reading was still high, it was not a problem with CIC. Most DMPs know this and will take a couple of readings. If you don't have a family history of it, you weight is Ok, no other comorbities(diabetes, obesity, etc), they will usually just tell you to watch for it, exercise more, eat healthy diet. Nothing else.

I had a high blood pressure. So my doctor checked it again & it found out to be high again. Then they referred me to cardiologist, who checked my ecg, & run some test. He sent a note to them saying that i have anxiety problems & have been given medication for time being & also "fit to fly abroad"..
MY medicals have been cleared since then...

Any thoughts on my case?

I have HBP, but I'm already on medication ( prescribed by my doctor in Germany ) and have been on meds for the past 5 years already. My BP is under control now. I got all tests done prior to getting meds and no one was able to find the cause of the HBP,
kidneys are fine too.

Whenever I get my MR I will tell the physician about the meds and the HBP, but do you think it's a problem that I'm on German
meds, not prescribed by a doctor in Canada? I always bring the meds from Germany as I know they work for me.
