Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to know a friend of ours in UK is considering moving here with his family and asked if he would qualify.

He is a Engineer Fitter working for a bus company for the past 10-15 years.

Please kindly advise whether he would qualify to apply for Work Permit or PR.

Thanks

1. Since FSW is closed until at least January/13, he can't apply unless he has a job offer (AEO) from an employer in Canada to apply under FSW2
2. Or if he wishes to work in Canada, he would have to find an employer, after advertising the position for 2 weeks on the Job Bank, applies for a Labour Market Opinion from HRSDC and is able to demonstrate that there are no Canadians/PRs available or qualified for the position. If it is approved, then he can apply for a work permit.
