I was wondering if my Canadian husband (the sponsor) needs to provide a Notice of Assasment in his sponsorship application even if he is not required any income to sponsor me?

He has lived in Sweden with me for over a year now and wasen't taxed in Canada during 2014 so his latest one is from 2013, is that the one we should send in in that case?

Thanks!

Its not just about earning money .They want to see of the sponsor is or was on any welfare . Get the 2013 assessment. He will have to prove how he is going to live and support you if he is not in Canada on his return. Attach a separate piece of paper with the details 2014 taxes are not due till April so best get this application off asap. So yes send 2013 with your application.

We are sending the whole application away in January after my medical exam so I hope that will be okay! We are also providing "proof" of us re-establishing in Canada by attatching letters from us with our plans, letters from our family and friends and also a lease from my best friends since we will be living with her until we have started work and found a house/apartment.

Good luck.Sounds like you have done your research . :)
