Why does she have to wait 8 more months. once you have a child together and living together you're automatically considered common law so they can start the process at anytime if they choose, also they look at a lot of things other than children, security checks would be the main one so regardless of them having child if he doesn't pass that i don't think that wouldn't make a difference but good luckjune1990 said:So, I have a friend of mine who gave birth 6 months ago, she just moved in together with her Canadian boyfriend about 4 months ago, obviously they still have 8 more months to live together before they can apply for sponsorship. Her bf is divorced, about 5 years ago, right now she's still on her mat leave and her work permit just ended but she applied visit visa already. Now, she's worried since her bf has been divorced that they might be questioned or something, do you think having a common child together is a strong proof that the relationship is legit? Of course aside from their pictures and other proofs. She doesnt have an account in here so I thought i could ask for her and give her some advice...Thank you!
