I am submitting a certificate issued by Bank for the funds requierd by CHC NEW DELHI.

Does Embassy has any Right to ask the source of the funds?

yes, they do have ebery right to ask.

they might ask to confirm that money is not:

1. borrowed
2. earned illegally
3. in joint names with people who are not included in application/not immigrating with you

look at it this way, they have every right to seek more informtion, clarification, proof on all the information you give on the form and supporting documents .

i am not saying they will ask, i am just saying they have every right to ask (your question )

YES THEY HAVE THE RIGHTS TO ASK...

BUT I THINK, THEY WILL NOT ASK YOU....

IF THE MONEY IS IN BANK ACCOUNT OF PRINCIPAL APPLICANT, THEY CONSIDER AS GENUINE AND NOT BORROWED.

see in my opinion they generally ask when one applied for tourist or visitor visa because one have to show amount in order to show that he has sufficient bank balance & he will come back before the visa expire because now a days many people from punjab apply for tourist visa and when they go there they never come back they torn thier passport & remain there
So officer in their case want to confirm that the amount he deposited in his account is his personal amount or manuplated by loan or something else
So as per me they will not ask you as you going there as a pr
