Does depressipon effect medical exam for PR

Hi there,

I am in Canada from last four years. I came here as a student. After completing my studies I am working in IT industry. Now I filing my PR. I need to get my Medical exam. I had a mental illness last year. I was depressed. But everything get treated through medications. How does it affects my medical exam? Does the doctor who will do my medical exam will be pulling my medical history and put this in remarks?

As far as I know the medicals covers mainly tests for communicable diseases. you may have to declare your treatment in the background declaration section of your application. All the best!
