Does CIO use email to notify applicants or they use post only?

Hi Everyone,
Does CIO use email to notify applicants or they use post? Will they send AOR and file number by email. Who will issue the file number CIO or the regional Visa Office.

CIO responds as per your instructions in the app form, e mail or by letter.
1st file number will be issued by CIO and later on after the submission of documents in local visa office new file number is issued by Visa Office.

But dont we have to mention both the address, & email ID (and also the phone numbers) in our applications?

then how do we know how we'll be contacted?

the format of CIO mail /letter may be changed for post 26 June applicant, the OP6 procedure has been amended (some time 2 weeks back).

So you may need to wait for another one month as currently they are processing 10 June. Hopefully post 26 June application should be open in next 30 days time

The letter format of pre 26 june may not be of help to you

Well that means they do send out emails right?

yes they do. i received my first AOR through email.
