Does CIC send you email when they send out CoPR by mail after PPR?

Hi everyone,

I got my PPR and sent out my copy of passport to Ottawa. My status changed to approved but I wasn't sure this means that they opened my mail and sent out CoPR as there were no emails about sending out CoPR yet.
Do people usually get an email saying that they have sent out the CoPR?

I am also experiencing a similar situation. I got my PR visa stamped from Tunisia via a third person. They didn't issue any COPR along with the visa. Also I haven't received any email in my account mentioning its issuance. Now I intend to travel to Canada shortly. Don't know how am I supposed to attain it now..

You won't get emails, or maybe at best you'll get updates to your MyCIC application with the COPR document number and expiry date, etc.

Nope, no email. I did see the day they changed my application status to approved, but I only knew that they sent out my CoPR (a day or two later) because the tracking was activated on it.

Which website?

In my GC key account, where the "current status" of the application is listed after I log in and answer my security question. It is also reflected towards the bottom when I click "Check full application status".

I was never able to link my application to the GC key, so i was never able to view my GC KEY.
Is there any other way that i can check or call in?

You could try calling in (instructions here) but I'm not sure how much visibility they have into CoPR issuances. Otherwise maybe just keep an eye on your return tracking.
