Does CIC send anything to you? (work permit)

Hi all,

I submitted my work permit application a week ago, and the processing time is supposed to be 2 months. I am not sure if I will receive anything from CIC at my residential address or does everything goes over the internet?

I ask because I will leave my current place of residence in around 1 month, and travel directly from my vacation destination to Canada. However, that will not be possible if I need to get back home to collect some papers. So, what is the case?

if its online application, then you will get email notification or updates on online account.
Mostly you will hear for medical request, any other required documents and passport request.

They send your work permit to you by mail if you apply from within Canada. You should just get a letter online to pick it up at the border for outside Canada.
