My case was processed by Hong Kong office.

This morning my status changed to "Decision made", but I haven't got any update emails.

Does it mean that I got rejected??

No matter what they would send me an email to update, right??

Thank you guys.. this is really confusing me now .......

If you did not get an interview and now it shows 'decision made', it is likely a positive sign. Normally, CIC will request an interview if they have concerns and only after that will they make a decision. They can not reject you without giving an opportunity for you to address their concerns. So relax and wait for their letter.

If you see decision made but you didnt receive any form of communication from them then thats approval.
Just like what senoritabella said, CIC will not reject you outright but will give you a chance. They wil contact you saying 'before they make a final.decision you should provide them with additional documentation' or to schedule for interview.

But since you didnt.receive anything from them since DM.then rest assured thats approval.on your appliction. Congrats! :)

Thanks SenoritaBella!
Shouldn't they send me an email after "decision made"? Because according to the HK time, they have finished their work for today by now. What i'm trying to say is that I thought they would send me an email within today..

So is it possible for them not to send me an email but a regular mail (or other things) to update me??

Are you from a visa exempt country?
If yes, they'll send you the CoPR via regular mail.
If not, they'll request your passport via e-mail.
If passport was already requested, wait for your documents back via regular mail.

No, i'm from china.
And they haven't sent me an email at all....

Just to clarify, it the decision made for sponsorship or for permanent residence?

Either way, emails almost never come the same day as ECAS switches to decision made. As others have said, they never reject anyone without giving you a chance to provide more evidence.

Thanks for your help first !
For permanent residence.
I thought email always comes faster... Do you know how many days will it take to get an email normally?

I'm not sure - I'm not far enough along in the process. But my SA email took over a week after we received decision made. There's a thread specific to Hong Kong, if you haven't asked your question there yet, I would do that since individual visa offices may handle it differently and the people there are all going through the same office as you. The thread can be found here:

Hi, My visa office was Ottawa. I know it may take different times for different visa offices, but I got a "decision made" Back in june, and I still haven't gotten anything from them regarding it. My husband is from the USA so he is visa exempt. So I got the same "it's most likely a positive decision". I'm still waiting for mine! Good luck and I hope you see it soon. My husband and I are waiting in agony ???
