Does Canadian Spouse Need Police Certificate?

I am Canadian citizen applying to sponsor my American husband from outside Canada. He received the request for his police certificate and the request letter also asks for a police certificate for every family member. I have been living outside Canada - do they require it for me as well?

No, sponsor does not need that, only primary applicant, and dependants if there are any.
