Hi
I am a PR in Canada working for a Canadian company. This company has global branches and they often send me outside canada for workshops or job duties. Are those days counted as absence days and not counted towards my residential requirement. I read that if I'm a full time employee for a Canadian person working outside canada is counted as presence. And this is where I'm confused. Because most of the times when I'm traveling I'm assigned a job and have an office and perform my original duties in the Canadian companies. Advice? TIA

Business trips outside of Canada for a Canadian company cannot be counted towards the residency requirement.

You can only count days spent outside of Canada working for a Canadian company if you are permanently relocated to a role outside of Canada (by the Canadian company).

So the short answer is no - you can't count these days towards your residency requirement.
