So does anyone know how long it will take after ottawa request more info to be provided to the next step?

They requested more prove of our relationship plus an update of fbi letter. Which I did and submitted.

So when should I expect to see a change of the status? Or should I just assume that my file will be put to the side till someone remember it? Lol

Generally when they request information they put a date. like you need to comply within 45 days from the date on this letter or something. It is believed that they also put a bring forward date on your file for that same date. Like a reminder in the system to open and revise the file again. So even if you sent your documents within 1 week, it's possible that your file won't get looked at again until the full 45 days have passed. But it's also possible that someone looks at it sooner than that. The only way you can know if anything is happening is to order the GCMS notes.

They gave me a due date of June 30th. I have sent everything since last week. So if I hear anything it would be by june 30th? Also would I hear anything by mail or email or the status online? And if I order the notes it takes about a month right?

Some visa offices take over 2 years processing.

US outland applicant. Ottawa processing time is 15 months. I thought it would be faster now since they already reviewed my case. That would be bogus if it takes a long time now.

I think average for that is 8-10 months. But if you've had document requests and stuff it will push it a little further than that. Unless something else is needed you will probably be finished in under a year for sure.

keep in mind there are a few us applicants who are at the 12 month mark and starting the landing process. 9 months is within the current average, so you're not outside the norm. currently sept-dec 13 applicants are nearing the end of the process.
