I see on your photo that you're from Egypt, I am from Egypt as well. Why will it take longer? I asked someone who works in the embassy and she told to renew and add both the old and the new passport.

I am from Egypt but living abroad so it would take more than a month for me to get my passport renewed. Plus I have a mandatory army service that is not deferred yet, so I believe the government will not renew my passport unless I defer first.

Acadia University said it is expecting to be on the list by November 3rd.

No one should assume the DLI covid-19 readiness list is "THE" DLI list moving forward. There are countless institutions in this country that simply cannot manage all the things the government is requiring of institutions during this time.

It is official. Got this in my email now,
"It is a pleasure to announce that Acadia University’s COVID-19 readiness plan has been approved by the Canadian government and will be included on the IRCC’s Designated Learning Institutions list on November 3, 2020.

The entire Acadia team is looking forward to being able to welcome you in-person this January 2021!"
