I got my CAQ exactly after 20 business days. You’ll get yours before 4th november

10 October 2019 for university application. It's taken 54 weeks.

Realistically you may or may not get a CAQ in time but that's due to not completing the application, certainly not a study permit. Those applying for Quebec for January 2021 are leaving it late too.

Count 20 working days from complete application.

Then why did you wait until the last minute? Why not start the process sooner?

Hello everyone, I have an urgent question if anyone can help.
The IRCC just asked me to deliver my passport at my VAC, I applied for a study permit with a passport that ends in 2023 and my PhD admission is until 2025, I didnt renew when applying because the passport offices were closed for 3 months during the pandemic. Can I renew my passport before handing it? if not will there be an issue with getting my permit?

Call and ask VAC, they should know. But in theory, if your passport would be ready in 30 days, then you should be fine. Raise a webform while you are at it too

I have my old passport now and it takes only 3 days to renew a passport. I will call the VAC and ask..Thanks

I am in the same situation. We will get our study permit until the expiry date in 2023, and then apply for an extension before the expiry date with your renewed passport.
Ah just seen that for you it is just 3 days to renew. For me it is much longer so it is better for you to renew your passport first. But also let IRCC know that.

I see on your photo that you're from Egypt, I am from Egypt as well. Why will it take longer? I asked someone who works in the embassy and she told to renew and add both the old and the new passport.

Renew it later on and get an extension. Technically, you have to renew it before PPR so that you can inform and update passport details in your application. They've already issued a sticker etc based on current passport details. Due to covid19, do not risk of losing passport stamping window. Deal with it in 2023 (if there's 2023 ).
