Dear all, I did not want to post it here, but to be honest, I am very desperate, I am feeling like the Canadian immigration authorities ruin my life, and since I cannot find any solution, I decided to ask you for advise.
I hold an open work permit. However, I cannot get back in Canada, because I don't have a visa (my old one has expired). I am currently visiting the US, so I've applied to get it here. However, after my biometrics was submitted, 3 weeks have already passed, even though their current processing time is 2 weeks after biometrics submission. I've called to the NYC consulate, but they told me to call the IRCC instead, since they can only help with passport tracking. And I cannot call IRCC because they block calls from outside of Canada. Of course, I've sent dozens of emails, but needless to say, I got no response. The problem is that I am just a visitor here in the US and I must leave the country in a couple of weeks, and go back to Eastern Europe, that's said, I must spend tons of money. I've lost several employment offers because of permit and visa long processing time, so they basically put me in a really critical situation. Thus, I want to ask 2 questions:

- Does anyone know how to reach IRCC from outside of Canada, or how to reach out to the NYC consulate to figure out when the decision will be made?
- Does anybody know what are REAL (NOT PROMISED) processing times for Canadian visas in the US? So I can make a decision to either stuck here and wait or to move to my home country?
