I don't think you have to "prepare" anything. All you have to be doing is complying with the "Condition 51". I am not aware of any requirement to update CIC of your address.

Conditional PR for sponsored spouses/common-law partners is very new. No one can tell you for sure how much CIC will "check up on" conditional permanent residents during their first two years here. Bottom line, no one here can tell you that it's okay to take the "break" you wish to take from your spouse. If your spouse reports the marriage breakdown to CIC, or if they decide to do a random check, you *may* be at risk of losing your PR status.

Once you get your PR card you do not need to update CIC on your address. Infact the VO at my landing interview specifically said do not tell CIC your new address. He made a big deal about it (I don't know why). How they will check/enforce condition 51 is anyones guess. Right now they barely investigate glaring cases of out-right criminal fraud, so i doubt they will be doing too much checking on condition 51. Condition 51 is more a scare tactic than anything else.

Yup. Basically if you are in a legit relationship and living together, you have nothing to do. You will naturally be "prepared".

Really the main way I see condition 51 coming into play is if there is a separation and the sponsor reports you. Then CIC would investigate.

However I do believe that CIC will do random checks on their own. I think they will do this for sponsorships that are approved but with some red flags where there will follow up. They have made unannounced visits in the past but mostly when they suspect MoC where they suspect the sponsor is involved also.
