Does any 6 month certificate course help in fetching extra points.

I would like to know if a 6 month certification course is recognised by cic. And if it evaluated by res will it DD extra points or not.
Please advise.

I looked at CIC website and cannot find any reference to education less than a year.
One-year degree, diploma or certificate from a program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute
