Does anyone know how long it takes to get back your documents. I sent my original marriage, birth certificates(Family of three) and certificate of deposit along with bank statements the end of january. It is now April and they just requested Police clearance from here in the US and UK.

I could be wrong, but I don't think they ever send any documents back.

I believe you are supposed to send certified copies of birth certificates, transcripts, diplomas, etc. - not your personal originals.

1. Most offices do not require originals, except for police certificates, elits, mark sheets, other are certified copies.
2. You should request the originals back from the office processing your application, if you don't get them with your Passport request.
