Can you ask him how he managed to upload when there's no tab or link to upload?

In my case I don't see any tab or link to upload anything

One more thing even after uploaded document still Required date is changing every day? If yes then which date your brother uploaded the document?

My app still working and today date are showing you will submit requested documents 14 October
Yesterday showing 13 October now showing 14 October

its strange even after directly submitted the document online (gckey account) still date is not getting stopped then i would say its normal, not a glitch and no need to worry that ur application might get delayed bcoz of this issue

This maintenance window is schedule for Sunday midnight Canada time. You will not see any changes now, check on Monday evening or Tuesday.
 
I also applied for Canadian visitor visa from Germany. Had biometrics on 22 Sep 2022 and very next day there was issue with 'client information' column although i uploaded my Letter of Explanation while submitting the application. I have sent the Letter of Explanation through Web Form.
 
Anybody facing login problem in GC key portal? Whenever I tried to login error logon msg is appearing and able to logon after two or three attempts. It’s happening from last one month.

clear your browser cache and cookies. type cic.gc.ca in a new tab and then try.

There is known issue of gckey portal misbehaving, goes to a login loop. Deleting cookies and cache is the solution.
