what are documents required form employer for extending work permit.
could anyone please provide a process how to do this.
My scenario is :

my work permit is about to expire I need to extend it . I have valid job

So a job offer is not enough. Your employer must file for a LMIA, pay $1k and prove a Canadian or PR couldn’t be hired. Once you have the LMIA, you can apply for a closed work permit. Processing takes many months so your employer needs to move on putting the paperwork together.

So you received ITA and have your AOR? If so, you may be eligible for a BOWP. Or are you in the pool waiting for a draw with your CRS score?

Do you know that you cannot extend PGWP? It's a one time opportunity. Check the link: https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=676&top=29

You can however apply for BOWP if you have submitted your PR Application and received your AOR. As in the AOR it states that you can use this document to apply for BOWP. Check the link I posted and it states how you can extend your PGWP based on the situation.
Else you can ask your employer to sponsor you/LMIA and that you can apply for WP.
