Documents requested and police certificates!!!!Help!!!

I received today the request from supported documents. Will I have to send police certificate from both FBI and the State I live in here in the US? I live in New York. Anyone with an experience with that?

mention that...."Applicants may also be requested to provide State certificates".

So maybe yes or maybe not, if your request didn't mention State Certificate send only FBI, but if you already have the state certificate send both it won't hurt at all.

Remember this is my humble opinion.

Sometimes at descretion of consular officer, he can request State police clearance. Just get one from local police station.

In mine, they request to look the instruction for Buffalo and on the instruction it says Police Certificate and on the website, they never only mentioned " "Applicants may also be requested to provide State certificates". I guess I must send only the FBI Clearance then. What do u guys think?

I think you only need the FBI Clearance. I've been told by some people that they only sent the FBI clearance and they did not have any problem. But wait for someone else's opinion.

Exactly, Send only FBI first, becuase Police Certificates are not mandatory but on the Discretion of Visa Officer they might request which you can get in around 30-40 days. So apply first with FBI and be ready for Police Certificates.
