May I ask a silly question!? What is a Letter of Introduction exactly?Perfect thank you!
I believe it is the approval letter (aka port of entry letter of introduction). You show it to the officials at the POE to get your study permit. I believe the one they stamp on your passport when they request it here is the study visa which is not the same as the study permit. Study visa allows you to enter Canada while the permit allows you to stay and study in Canada.May I ask a silly question!? What is a Letter of Introduction exactly?
No thats not a silly question! Letter of introduction is a study permit approval letter and is also known as a correspondence letter. Basically it shows that your visa has been approved and then you show this to the CBSA officer at the poe to obtain your study permitMay I ask a silly question!? How does one get a hold of this letter? Does it come with the passport when they send it back to you with the stamp? No thats not a silly question! It isn't mentioned on the website to carry it but I wouldn't risk travelling without it since it is kind of part of the quarantine planDo we have to show a health insurance document to the CBSA officer at the port of entry(airport) ?
Yes they give this letter along with your stamped passport or you could even find this letter on your gc account once your visa is approvedHow does one get a hold of this letter? Does it come with the passport when they send it back to you with the stamp?
Yes i did not receive any of the above as wellIRCC website states the following:
International students who had a study permit application approved have been sent a letter (push notification) advising the principal applicant or their authorized representative about
Etc etc.....
- public health measures in place to limit the spread of COVID-19 in Canada
- what to expect upon arrival, in particular the 14-day mandatory quarantine instructions
- the exemption from the travel restrictions should they be travelling for a non-discretionary purpose and destined to study at a DLI with a COVID-19 readiness plan approved by the province or territory
I got an OPR but didn't get any letter that is referred to above. Any ideas what this is about?
I don’t think a lot of people receive these emails. I never received emails from IRCC aside from when they replied to my webform or send me a notification about my applicationYes i did not receive any of the above as well
