Hi, everyone:

Maybe someone can help me with this:

I'm applying just for myself. I'm divorced and i've got 2 children who are living with their mother. In the document list #12 they're asking for birth certificates. if they're not applying, should i provide them or it's "not applicable"?

Help much appreciated.

If it was me, I would be including those birth certificates. If you're claiming you have two kids on your application, it makes sense to provide evidence that they exist (particularly from the CIC perspective).

It's not impossible that one or both may want you to sponsor them one day.

Hopefully you will get a less speculative response from someone, but I would include them. If you were struggling to get hold of them, then I would contact CIC for advice.
