NOC Code......

What document is required to show employment of having an electrician shop for the secondary applicant? My husband was an electrician (did this job for around five years)? we don't have any documentary proof now as it is about 18 years old matter.

Same scenario with me...

Need help for my brother.

My sister-in-law is primary applicant. She has a valid NOC and associated reference letters and all the necessary documents. However, my brother is running his own business. Currently we are trying to create EE profile (to be able to get ITA)

Questions are:

1. What do we write in work history section for my brother
- how do we identify NOC when he is self employed. He is doing everything by himself. Moreover, his business conduct is extremely informal i.e. no registrations, no sales tax, no VAT, no billings. Usually in India, small scale business are run in this manner. Even though we are not availing any points for his work experience but still CIC is asking for it. Kindly suggest how can we show in our current situation.

2. My sister-in-law doesnt use her last name i.e. surname field in her passport is blank. In this case what do we write in Last name while create EE profile. As the tool doesnt allow us to leave "last name field" empty.

You can not claim points for the secondary applicant's foreign job experience in FSW or CEC. So you do not need to proof anything but you have to write his/her job in the personal history.

Hi Sandra

Really????? so if I am not taking points for my husband's education and employment i will not have to show any of his documents?

Only canadain job experience can be claimed for secondary applicant. You have to mention that, in the personal history section, but you do not have to proof that.so you do not need any documents. It is in CEC and FSW. I.am not familiar in provincial program.

thanks Sandra. I trust Gurdeep @ link2gurdeep also get his/her query answered. But the other problem also affects me as i dont have surname in my passport. so i have only first and middle name and not last name. we need to resolve that as well

What do you mean by surname?
Your surname is your family name. It is also called your “last name.” When filling out applications, type your surname as it appears on your passport, travel or identity document.

Do not use initials.

If you do not have a family name on your passport, travel or identity document, enter all your given name(s) in the surname field and leave the given name field blank. Do not enter “Not applicable,” “*” or “NA.”

No, I do not use the surname, the passport shows the last-name column blank. So i believe will have to enter the middle name as last name during filling up the profile.
